Bringing SPORTEGRATION to You
What sports activities are available near me? Does it cost anything to participate? And how can I sign up?
People who are new to Switzerland may not yet be familiar with the leisure activities and services available to them. That is why it is important not only to provide information online, but also to reach people directly where they live and spend their daily lives.
Two of our team members recently visited the Collective accommodation Triemli in Zurich to introduce SPORTEGRATION and our free sports programmes. We explained which sports courses are available, how participation works and how interested people can register directly.
Personal exchange creates access
Visits like this are particularly valuable to our work. Meeting people in person gives us the opportunity to answer questions, clarify uncertainties and help interested participants find an activity that suits them. At the same time, we get to know people personally and learn more about the sports and activities they are interested in.
We were very happy to see the high level of interest at the Collective accommodation Triemli. For us, this once again demonstrates the importance of accessible information and personal exchange. Free sports for people with a refugee background can offer much more than physical activity. Sport creates opportunities to meet others, enjoy leisure time together and can support integration and the process of settling into a new environment.
SPORTEGRATION can visit you too
Do you work for a collective accommodation centre, a school or an organisation and would you like to inform people with a refugee background about free sports programmes?
Get in touch with us. We are happy to visit you, introduce SPORTEGRATION and our sports programmes, and help interested participants register directly. In this way, we want to make access to sport and community as simple as possible for everyone.
