Sport moves more than just our bodies

10/22/2026

On Saturday, 22 August 2026, the exhibition “Sport – was uns bewegt” (eng. Sport - what moves us) opened at the museum of Aarau. Numerous visitors came to discover different sports and get active themselves. SPORTEGRATION was also part of the opening event, offering an open boxing session.

The session was led by one of our dedicated volunteers from the canton of Aargau. Everyone was welcome to join in and give boxing a try. Together, participants trained, laughed and experienced how easily sport can bring people together.

SPORTEGRATION as part of the exhibition

Sport is about much more than physical activity. It promotes physical and mental health, creates opportunities for connection and helps overcome social barriers. This is exactly what SPORTEGRATION stands for. Through our free sports programmes, we promote social integration, strengthen wellbeing and create spaces where people from different backgrounds can connect.

The story of our participant Rashid Yari, who is featured in the exhibition, shows just how much sport can impact someone's life. In a video, visitors gain an insight into his personal story. An accompanying wall text introduces Rashid and provides information about SPORTEGRATION and our work. In this way, our mission becomes a visible part of the exhibition, highlighting the important role sport can play in integration, health and social participation.

We are delighted to be part of this exhibition through Rashid's story and our organisation's work, helping to raise awareness of the power of sport to bring people together.
