When Football Builds Bridges: Our Partnership with Grasshopper Club Zürich
Last Sunday was a special day for around 70 SPORTEGRATION participants:
Many experienced their very first live football match – and witnessed GC Zürich secure a 3:1 victory against Luzern. The atmosphere was full of joy, emotion, and a real sense of community.
And none of it would have been possible without one thing:
Our strong and growing partnership with Grasshopper Club Zürich – built on mutual respect, openness, and the shared belief that sports can bring people together.
What we’ve achieved together so far:
- GC player Tomas Veron Lupi visited our football training
- 16 children from SPORTEGRATION walked onto the field as matchday mascots
- Collaborative campaigns on social media and fundraising activities
- Fan-driven initiative: CHF 10,000 donated through scarf sales by the GC fan curve
- SPORTEGRATION booth at the GC Family Day, full of meaningful encounters
This partnership is living proof: Integration happens when people come together – from fans and clubs to volunteers and community members.
Football unites – far beyond the pitch
Such partnerships build more than just visibility – they create belonging, connection and shared experiences. Especially in football, where passion, identity and togetherness run deep, we see how sport can be a true catalyst for inclusion.
