From participant to coach
Mohammad Qambari's story is an impressive example of how sport can support not only personal goals, but also integration into a new society. Mohammad began his journey with SPORTEGRATION in the running programme in Bern, where he quickly discovered his passion for volleyball and expressed his desire to become more involved as a coach.
With our support, he was able to realise this dream. Within a very short time, a volleyball training session was organised under his direction, which was very well received by our community. Mohammad grew enormously in his role as a coach - not only in terms of sport, but also personally.
In addition to his work as a coach, Mohammad now plays in a volleyball club and regularly takes part in championships. Despite his successes, he remains loyal to SPORTEGRATION and reliably attends every training session. It is very important to him that other refugees also have the opportunity to find support, community and integration through sport.
Such success stories would be unthinkable without the tireless efforts of our volunteers. We are always on the lookout for committed people who would like to get involved in our community. Whether regular or occasional, sporting or not - any support is valuable and helps us to continue our mission. We welcome every helping hand that is willing to make a difference.
