New English language café in Zurich: a meeting place for learning and networking

SPORTEGRATION has transformed its English semester courses into an open language café - a place where people can come together, exchange ideas and improve their English skills along the way. The new English language café in Zurich offers refugees and other interested parties the opportunity to learn and network in a relaxed atmosphere.

A special highlight: the language café is run by a diverse team of volunteers with different backgrounds and experiences. One of them is Atila - originally from Afghanistan and now a participant in other SPORTEGRATION courses. With his strong knowledge of English, he now takes on responsibility himself and runs the language café.

The language café takes place in the Kanzbi on the Kanzlei site in Zurich. The Kanzbi is much more than just a venue - it is an intercultural meeting place for people of all ages and backgrounds. Its special concern: To give everyone, especially children, young people and adults, the opportunity to speak and learn their family language.

In addition to the language café, the Kanzbi offers numerous other activities:

📚 An intercultural library with 4000 children's books in 40 languages and over 350 games, which can be used and borrowed free of charge.

💻 A computer room with courses that teach children and women in particular how to use media safely.

🛋️ A cozy reading room where books and games can be enjoyed in a relaxed atmosphere.

🎉 Space for your own events, as the Kanzbi can also be hired.
