Together for Safety: Our Extended Protection Concept

9/12/2025

A respectful and safe community depends on everyone understanding which rules apply and how to put them into practice in everyday life. With the introduction of the complaints system and the Code of Conduct in fall 2024, we laid the foundation for this.

Now, we have developed new informational materials that present the key elements of the protection concept in a clearer and more tangible way. Our updates include:

  • Translations into twelve languages so that all participants, regardless of their background, can understand which rules apply and how to file a complaint.
  • Infographics with clear messages and supportive visuals, making even complex content easy to grasp.
  • An animated cartoon video that explains the most important elements of the protection concept in simple language and with powerful imagery.

With these new tools, we are strengthening prevention and empowerment. It’s not only about protection but also about enabling the community: recognizing boundaries and knowing how to take action.

For many participants, the video is a first entry point into a topic that can otherwise be difficult to explain. It was created in close collaboration with Arash Raffat, who brought it to life with dedication, time, and artistic sensitivity. Through colorful images, simple language, and emotional scenes, it shows what respect means in everyday life, where boundaries begin, and how to respond when they are crossed.

The values of respect, protection, and responsibility remain our guiding principles. They apply to everyone: participants, volunteers, and staff – in the courses, in our interactions, and in daily life.

The extended protection concept is part of an ongoing development process at SPORTEGRATION. Our goal remains to create a space where everyone feels safe, respected, and empowered.
