Three new faces in the SPORTEGRATION team

2/20/2025

Three new interns joined the SPORTEGRATION team at the beginning of February. Over the next six months, Andrea Schärer, Dimitri Volkart and Mitja Wehrli will not only gain valuable experience, but also actively contribute to the coordination and further development of our sports programmes.

Andrea is responsible for coordinating the sports courses in the cantons of Basel-Stadt and Basel-Landschaft, while Dimitri coordinates the programmes in the canton of Zurich. Mitja is responsible for coordinating the sports programmes in the canton of Bern. In addition, all three support the SPORTEGRATION office with various tasks and contribute their own ideas when it comes to public relations.

The three have diverse backgrounds and interests: Dimitri has a bachelor's degree in political science and is active in sport himself - he currently plays football for FC Rapperswil-Jona. Mitja studied educational science and is also a footballer - he plays for FC Breitenrain. Andrea is a qualified physiotherapist and remains true to her passion alongside SPORTEGRATION - she continues to work in this field.

Her commitment helps to ensure that our sports programmes run smoothly and that refugees have the opportunity to network through exercise and community. We are delighted to have the three of them on the team and are excited to see what new ideas they bring with them!
